Drennan is a member of the inaugural class of ASBMB Fellows honored for their efforts to advance the molecular life sciences.

Catherine Drennan, Professor of Chemistry and Biology, has been selected as a member of the inaugural class of American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ASBMB) Fellows.

This fellows program was established in 2020 to recognize ASBMB members for their meritorious efforts to advance the molecular life sciences through sustained outstanding accomplishments in scientific research, education, mentorship, commitment to diversity, and service to the society and the scientific community. This honor is only bestowed to the most distinguished and established members of the society.

By combining X-ray crystallography, cryo-electron microscopy and other biophysical methods, the goal of the Drennan lab is to “visualize” molecular processes by obtaining snapshots of enzymes in action.
