On March 8, 2021, Senior Individual Giving Officer Liz McGrath retired after twenty-one years in the Department of Chemistry. McGrath began her time as the Senior Administrative Assistant to then Department Head Stephen J. Lippard, and eventually took on the role of Senior Individual Giving Officer for the Department of Chemistry, where she worked tirelessly raising funds, establishing meaningful relationships with Chemistry alumni, staff, and faculty, and organizing events for the department’s alumni and friends.

“Liz’s fundraising efforts and numerous contributions to the department over her many years as a staff member have changed the department for the better,” said Department Head Troy Van Voorhis. “She is a relational hub for our entire community and she will be missed by students, staff, faculty and alumni.”

Over 40 members of the staff, faculty, and students gathered for a Zoom reception in recognition of Liz’s years in the department.

The Department of Chemistry is endlessly grateful for Liz’s dedication and contributions.
