Former Chemistry Postdoc Jeffrey Toney to join MIT as Visiting Professor
Dr. Toney was a member of Professor Emeritus Stephen J. Lippard's research group fro 1987-1989.
Dr. Jeffrey H. Toney, PhD, a former postdoc in Professor Emeritus Stephen J. Lippard‘s research group from 1987 – 1989, will spend the summer at MIT as a Visiting Professor in the School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences‘ Department of Linguistics and Philosophy.
Toney currently serves as the provost and vice president for academic affairs at Kean University and is also an author of both scholarly scientific articles and popular commentaries. Recently, Toney shared his reflections on the time he spent as a postdoc at MIT in the late 1980s, when he discovered that philosophy could be as interesting as his main area of research: chemistry.
