Accepting graduate students for the 2026-2027 Academic Year.

Research in the Elkin Group applies modern tools to address long-standing challenges in synthetic organic chemistry. We develop new transition metal catalysts that enable efficient bond disconnections and access to value-added compounds. We leverage these transformations for the synthesis of highly bioactive natural products that address outstanding needs in human health. We use computational tools, including machine learning, to navigate chemical space and accelerate reaction discovery, ultimately leading to new, creative, and impactful chemical solutions to modern challenges.
