Chemistry Resource Fair Raises Departmental Awareness of Beneficial Institute Organizations
A total of twenty-five campus organizations and student groups participated in this inaugural event.
On Tuesday, September 20, 2016, the Department of Chemistry held a Resource Fair to raise departmental awareness of the many invaluable organizations and groups available to members of the MIT Community. Hundreds of guests, comprised of Chemistry students, postdocs, faculty, and staff, made their way to Walker Memorial’s Morss Hall. There, they were each greeted with a complimentary t-shirt, tote bag, magnet, and bumper sticker that featured all of the logos of the participating organizations. The fair itself was a festive event, where representatives from each group distributed information and were available to answer questions and chat about their organization’s mission. Guests enjoyed autumnal afternoon treats as they collected literature and promotional tokens from the various booths. The event proved to be both educational and enjoyable, and represented the Department’s continued goal to positively contribute to its members’ MIT experience.
The Department wishes to thank all of those who participated in making this inaugural event an informative success, especially the following organizations:
