Undergraduate Community

(Undergraduate Recognition Banquet, Senior Class of 2018)

The Chemistry department hosts a variety of events throughout the year to engage and build community among our undergraduate majors.

Chem Café

Chem Café is a monthly event, open to all 5, 5-7, and ChemFlex undergraduate majors. It is a chance to come together as a community, enjoy lunch, and mingle with professors.

Undergraduate Recognition Banquet

A more formal end-of-year celebration, open to all 5, 5-7, and ChemFlex undergraduate majors. Select students receive awards for their extraordinary work throughout the academic year and all graduating seniors are recognized.

Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) Week

RAK Week is a time dedicated to connecting members of the MIT community through small acts of kindness. We hope to not only encourage people to connect with each other, but also to connect with support resources on campus. RAK Week will be a fun, light-hearted week meant to encourage us to support one another because MIT is not a place one can handle alone.

Learn more about past RAK Week events here and here and stay tuned for 2020 events!
