Interdisciplinary programs offer students the opportunity to be exposed to a wide range of research areas. Current programs include the Biophysics Certificate Program, Biotechnology Training Program, Microbiology Program, and the Program in Polymers and Soft Matter.
Aside from formal interdisciplinary programs, many graduate students engage in interdisciplinary research through formal and informal collaborations with faculty and students from various departments at MIT.
