  • Empowering the Finance Team: I mentor and develop our Fiscal Officers and Financial Coordinators to provide expert research administration across the department.
  • Strategic Financial Oversight: Partnering with faculty and leadership, I work to align research goals with smart financial planning and robust proposal development.
  • Navigating Complex Regulations: I ensure all research activity—including high-value, multi-PI grants—remains in harmony with MIT and federal policies like Uniform Guidance and Financial Accounting and Reporting (FAR).
  • Financial Health & Transparency: To manage departmental budgeting and reporting, I collaborate with Meg Fuchs (DAF) to ensure accuracy and mitigate risk.
  • Problem-Solving & Collaboration: I act as a dedicated liaison to central offices to resolve complex issues and facilitate smooth, multi-departmental projects.
