- Strategic Partner: As the department’s senior operations administrator, I work alongside faculty leadership and senior staff to guide strategic planning and high-level financial management for the Department of Chemistry.
- Operational Architect: A significant component of my role is to oversee the department’s daily pulse—from research administration and communications to facilities, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), and academic operations.
- Trusted Advisor: Faculty, researchers, and staff can count on me to provide guidance on the navigation of policies and procedures to ensure that complex operations run smoothly (and to help solve problems).
- People Advocate: I handle the management of the full spectrum of HR for staff and faculty, with a focus on healthy workplace climate, thoughtful onboarding, and balanced workloads.
- Departmental Liaison: I serve as the bridge between the department and Institute-level offices, while managing Outside Professional Activities (OPA+) reporting and supporting faculty governance.
