MIT is in the process of collecting and donating extra unopened personal protective equipment (PPE) to local area hospitals and medical centers who are in desperate need of these supplies. The following items are needed:
- Face masks: N95, clinical, surgical, other
- Face shields
- Gloves
- Powered air-purifying respirators
- Gowns
- Cleaning wipes with bleach
- Hand sanitizers
- Swabs: Dacron, rayon, or nylon swabs
- Culture media: UTM (Universal Transport Media), COPAN Swab Transport System, Starplex Multitrans System, VCM (viral collection media), REMEL
