Carol joins the Department of Chemistry as its Human Resources Administrator.
The Department of Chemistry is pleased to welcome Carol Leone to the staff as its Human Resources Administrator.
Carol joins the department from CSAIL, where she was the Manager of Administrative Support Services, leading a team of 20+ administrative assistants with a people-centric approach to professional development, conflict resolution, and process improvement. Her achievements in CSAIL include developing a Professional Development Day for administrative assistants featuring workshops and guest speakers, launching the “Lab Talk Series” for hands on research demonstrations from PIs, and creating a standard operations guide for new and current AAs. Prior to joining MIT, she was the Administrative Operations Manager in the Vice President of Research Office at Brown University.
Carol will oversee all Human Resources activities for the Department of Chemistry, including recruitment, onboarding/training, performance management and development, employee relations, as well as provide guidance on complex HR issues, policies, and procedures.
