Conflict of Interest

Conflict of Interest (COI)

MIT’s COI policy is intended to assist MIT researchers in applying and complying with MIT’s requirements regarding financial conflicts of interest in research and with the requirements of MIT sponsors.

MIT’s full COI policy can be found on OSP’s website.

My COI

My COI (accessible through Coeus Lite) provides a place for researchers to respond to institutional COI questionnaires and disclose any financial interests that could pose a conflict with their research. Coeus tracks disclosures that are proposal-specific as well as annual disclosures that have not been updated as required.

Annual Conflict of Interest

Investigators must disclose their Significant Financial Interests to MIT on an annual basis via Coeus. To complete your Annual Conflict of Interest in Coeus Lite:

  • Launch Coeus Lite.
  • Click on "My COI" at the top of the page.
  • Click either: "Create annual disclosure", "View Completed Master Disclosure", or "Revise/Update Master Disclosure".
  • Follow the instructions and answer all questions as thoroughly as possible.
