DCIF Training Request Form

DCIF trainings are generally performed on a one-on-one basis. For NMR training, if you are new to the lab and have previous Varian/Agilent NMR experience, please request 'Varian 300' training first; if you have previous Bruker experience, please request 'Bruker 400/401’ training first. This will help to make you familiar with lab policies and get you to acquire useful data as rapidly as possible. After initial training, you may request training on the other spectrometer platforms, higher field instruments, or training on special topics. We also recommend training on the JEOL 500MHz system, as this is a particularly easy-to-use automation system.

MS, EPR, FTIR, and polarimetry training are also done on a one-on-one basis. For MS training, you may wish to consult with DCIF staff for help choosing the best instrument for your sample type. Initial EPR training will be done for room temperature work, followed by advanced training for users who need to work at low temperature.

Please proofread your information. Your PI will be billed for instrument usage.

If you have not received a response to your training request within 48 hours (weekends and MIT holidays not included), please send an email to the entire DCIF staff.
